The American Society of Interior Designers has selected Casey Leardi, ASID, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C, WELL AP, as a 2026 Ones to Watch Scholar. The program recognizes emerging leaders for their professional achievements and provides scholarship support toward their continued development in the field.
Scholars take part in a two-year leadership experience built around building connections across the profession, strengthening leadership skills, and helping shape the future of the design community.
Casey joined Amenta Emma in 2024 and works across the Workplace and Academic studios. Her recent projects include a 30,000 sf lobby and amenity renovation in Cambridge, MA, and the new School of Nursing at UConn. She holds ASID membership along with LEED AP ID+C, WELL AP, and NCIDQ credentials, a combination that reflects how she approaches interiors: attentive to the experience of the people in a space and equally attentive to what the space is made of and how it performs.
Principal Eric Weyant says, “Casey has a unique ability to hold the big idea and the small detail at the same time. On the 30,000 sf lobby and amenity renovation, she organized the entire spatial sequence around a single premise: that the interior should keep pulling you toward the outdoor spaces. Then she carried that premise all the way down into the finish palette and the lighting coordination. That consistency is hard to teach. ASID picked the right person.”
Casey’s recognition follows the firm’s continued investment in design excellence and professional development.
