2024 Promotions

We are pleased to announce the promotions of 12 team members in 2024.

Promoted to Principal

Jenna McClure, AIA, LEED AP
Jenna joined Amenta Emma Architects in 2008 and has moved up the ranks becoming an Associate in 2011, Senior Associate in 2016, Associate Principal in 2021, and now, Principal in 2024. She possesses a collection of talents that has led to progressively greater responsibilities, and her can-do attitude both professionally and in her personal life translates to a compassionate and energized role model and leader. As a Senior Project Manager, Jenna has overseen some of the firm’s most complex and notable projects such as the renovation of the Connecticut State Office Building in Hartford, and the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Western Connecticut State University. Jenna received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech. She is a recipient of the Hartford Business Journal 40 Under 40 award. Within the firm, she serves on the JEDI+B committee and leads the firm’s recruiting efforts. She is a mentor to Amenta Emma emerging professionals, and young women pursuing degrees in the AEC fields through various professional organizations. She is an active member of numerous industry organizations, including serving as a Board Member of the West Hartford Design Review Advisory Committee.

Promoted to Associate Principal

Debra Seay, AIA, WELL AP
Debra received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Philadelphia University and joined Amenta Emma in 2016 bringing with her over 14 years of experience on complex projects. Debra has a personal interest in advancing health, happiness, mindfulness, and productivity in buildings which led her to become a WELL Accredited Professional. Debra’s exceptional organization and leadership skills have been the primary reason for the success of every project under her purview. In the community, Debra serves on the boards of CoreNet CT/Westchester Chapter and the Connecticut Women’s Council, and she volunteers in various professional organizations as a mentor to young women and minorities pursuing architecture. She is a 2022 Hartford Business Journal Top 25 Women in Business award recipient.

Dennis Faga, AIA, LEED AP
Dennis received his Master of Architecture degree from The Catholic University of America and joined Amenta Emma in 2012 following several years as a Project Architect in the Washington, D.C. area. As a Senior Project Architect, Dennis oversees a diverse range of projects across all markets with a focus on large-scale workplace projects. With excellent technical and management skills, he excels in working collaboratively with clients and his project teams, as well as mentoring junior team members. Dennis is a steady leader who masterfully coordinates the fluctuating staffing needs of the office to ensure that projects run efficiently, and clients are best served with the appropriate staff expertise.

Promoted to Senior Associate

Christina Blakemore
Christina joined the firm in 2011. A graduate of the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford, her work in supporting the firm’s visual brand identity is fresh, unique, organic, and clever. She has received awards from the Connecticut Art Directors Club, and her graphics for Amenta Emma’s “Orange Pop” eNewsletter campaign helped earn the firm Connecticut and national Marketing and Communications awards. Christina collaborates with our project teams and her biophilic designs enhance senior living, higher education, and workplace environments.

Jeremy Jamilkowski, AIA
Bringing with him over 15 years of experience, Jeremy joined the firm in early 2022. His skill, ambition, personality, and commitment to design excellence exemplify the core values of Amenta Emma. Jeremy is a graduate of the BArch program at Roger Williams University and currently serves on the AIA Connecticut Board of Directors. As one of the Amenta Emma teachers in residence this fall at RWU, Jeremy brings a vigor for design exploration to his students as well as to our firm.

Kemal Zahirovic
Kemal joined the firm after receiving his Master of Architecture degree at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2012. With his great depth of technical knowledge, a drive to work at a high level of quality best characterizes Kemal, who serves as project architect on our largest and most complex projects. He is consistently positive and supportive of team members. Kemal’s dedicated and conscientious work ethic is often recognized by our clients for his positive role in looking after their interests.

Promoted to Associate

Andrea Olson, AIA, IIDA, WELL AP
Andrea received her Master of Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and joined the firm in 2019. In her time with Amenta Emma, she has become WELL certified and passed the Architectural Registration Examination. As a licensed architect, licensed interior designer, and WELL AP, Andrea provides comprehensive experience in the development of projects with a focused commitment to advancing human health and wellness in the buildings she works on and the communities she serves.

Kathryn Cizek
Kathy recently celebrated her 8th anniversary as our Administrative Assistant. She handles a multitude of tasks and deadlines, always with a positive and professional demeanor.  She is welcoming to all new employees, visitors, and clients, and truly fosters a culture of belonging in the firm.

Kelly Linares, IIDA
Kelly joined the firm in 2019 as an Interior Designer in the firm’s Workplace studio after completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from Endicott College. Her talent for creating environments that promote physical and mental well-being has grown, as evidenced by her design work on several award-winning projects. She earned her NCIDQ Certification in 2022 and is an active member of the CoreNet Connecticut / Westchester Young Leaders Committee and IIDA New England Chapter.

Nathalie Cardoso
Nathalie joined the firm in 2020 and quickly became part of our team. In her role as Controller and HR Administrator, her dedication and concern for what is best for our company are evident. She has streamlined company processes and successfully collaborates with all members of the office to advance the firm’s mission and promote an overall culture of excellence across the entire operation.

Randy Begin, AIA, LEED Green Associate
Randy received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Hartford, and since joining the firm in 2020, has become an instrumental team member in several of our studios, where he is responsible for the technical development of our projects. Randy has proven to combine an aptitude and skill beyond his years. His eagerness and can-do attitude are infectious, fostering praise from both team members and clients alike.

Zachary Hachey
Zach, a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology Master of Architecture program, joined the Amenta Emma Boston team in 2022. Bringing with him over 7 years of technical design experience, he actively shares his knowledge, is a mentor to junior team members, and fosters a collaborative work environment. Zach takes the time to understand client goals, and his clear and effective communication skills are especially valued by clients. Zach also shows great initiative on issues of sustainability.
