Hartford

BIM MANAGER

Our Hartford office is seeking a Building Information Model expert to lead the successful management of BIM production, workflows, and standards to support our growing firm. We are seeking qualified candidates who have a demonstrated capacity for a high level of BIM Management responsibility to lead, support, and teach our staff.

Roles + Responsibilities:

  • Provide Revit/BIM Management, leadership, and support for the firm’s design projects for our Hartford and Boston offices.
  • Work closely with project team BIM Coordinators on developing project execution and implementation plans, project start-up methods, and workflow strategies.
  • Assist project teams with advanced Revit modeling requirements, content creation, and coordination efforts.
  • Manage, organize, and optimize detail and family libraries.
  • Review projects with BIM Coordinators to ensure compliance with Quality of Documents Standards in coordination with the Director of Technical Production.
  • Assist troubleshooting and resolving Revit/BIM application issues.
  • Provide Revit/BIM training to current staff and new hires.
  • Review and implement new versions of software and develop customized deployments.

Experience + Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a BIM Management role.
  • Experience with a BIM Execution plan and providing a detailed modeling plan for each design phase.
  • Expert level of knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Revit project workflows, and Navisworks.
  • Collaborative project management with multiple design teams/offices involving model integration.
  • Experience with project coordination, clash detection and remediation.
  • Familiarity with model visualization, including use of Revit as a base point for rendering/animations in 3DS Max, Autodesk 360, etc.
  • A working knowledge of analysis of models that vary from solar studies (Autodesk Green Building Studio, etc.) to quantity take-offs.
  • Experience with Dynamo and Navisworks.

Additional Responsibilities + Skills Desired:

  • Hardware troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Research and recommend new software for increased productivity of firm.
  • Research, procure, and install new hardware and/or equipment.
  • Set-up and deployment of new hire workstations.

PROJECT ARCHITECT (12+YRS)

We are seeking project architects to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

Roles + Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project team in the development of architectural documents including drawings and specifications
  • Communicate with consultants to ensure coordination of project documents
  • Lead product research and coordinate technical aspects of a project design
  • Ensure conformance with code and regulatory standards
  • Participate in construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, site inspections and reports

Experience + Qualifications:

  • A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Architectural License preferred
  • 12+ years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, complete sets of drawings
  • Strong knowledge of building and accessibility codes
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office
