We are seeking summer architectural interns to join our Hartford office. Candidates should have solid design, graphic presentation, and communication skills as well as a strong technical aptitude. Must be proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Must have reliable transportation.  Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

ENTRY LEVEL ARCHITECT

We are seeking entry level architects to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent design, problem-solving, and verbal presentation skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

 Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the coordination of design and production of all phases of project, from conceptual design through construction
  • Prepare design presentation packages
  • Perform production tasks including drafting, documentation, and model creation
  • Utilize established standards, tools, and templates to produce project documentation
  • Assist with tasks during bidding and construction, including site visits, submittal review, RFIs, etc.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture
  • Up to 3 years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Progress toward Architectural Registration

We are seeking project architects to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

Roles + Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project team in the development of architectural documents including drawings and specifications
  • Communicate with consultants to ensure coordination of project documents
  • Lead product research and coordinate technical aspects of a project design
  • Ensure conformance with code and regulatory standards
  • Participate in construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, site inspections and reports

Experience + Qualifications:

  • A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Architectural License preferred
  • 8 to 15 years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, complete sets of drawings
  • Strong knowledge of building and accessibility codes
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office

  • Provide leadership to clients and teams by communicating and coordinating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule
  • Oversee project development on multiple projects varying in size and complexity
  • Establish the timing of key decisions and project milestones to meet established deadlines
  • Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors
  • Implement best practices utilizing established processes, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology
  • Train and mentor staff under your supervision
  • Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees

Experience and Qualifications

  • A professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
  • Architectural License preferred
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Strong self-motivation and energy
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams of architectural designers and consultants
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office

  • Assist in the conceptualization and development of design ideas, generate diagrams, digital models, interior and exterior renderings, and presentation materials
  • Develop space planning, site design, and building massing studies in compliance with code, zoning, and budget constraints
  • Prepare presentations for active projects, marketing pursuits, or internal research

Experience and Qualifications

  • A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Very efficient with the following design skills & software:
    • 3D Modeling (SketchUp and/or Rhino)
    • Rendering – Lumion
    • Post-processing – Photoshop
    • Presentations – InDesign
  • Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills
  • Site design and zoning analysis capabilities preferred
  • Experience with multifamily, institutional, or commercial design preferred
