Anthony (Tony) Amenta is the President and co-founder of Amenta Emma Architects. He is also a design leader in the firm’s Community Studio and Director of New Business Development.
Since helping found the Hartford firm in 1985, Tony has led many significant, award-winning projects for public and private clients, including recent renovations at the United Technologies headquarters, the KAMAN Corporation campus, and the Connecticut State Office Building.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame. In the professional community, he is a trustee of REFA Connecticut and a member of the ICSC, CNU, the Construction Institute and the AIA CT Design Committee. He previously served as a trustee for the West Hartford Housing Authority and chairman of the West Hartford Design Review Board. As a specialist in strategic and physical planning, Tony has lectured regionally and nationally on Project Planning, with a special interest in New Urbanism and what makes cities great.
