Tech & Learning Magazine published an article on ways schools can quickly and cheaply improve air ventilation in order to resume in-person learning. Amenta Emma principal Michael Tyre was quoted in the story along with Richard Loveland, vice president of BVH Integrated Services.
In addition to comments on air filtration, Michael stressed the importance of the correlation between building design and physical health. “Whether it’s access to daylight, or good air ventilation, or noise levels that allow you to concentrate–all of these things have been studied and have been shown to have correlations between how active and engaged and joyful kids are when they’re in school,” he says in the article.
The article was the top story on Tech & Learning’s homepage and featured a full exterior photo of the Amenta Emma-designed CREC Discovery Academy in Wethersfield.
