The relocated “Center for New Media” at Middlesex Community College creates state of the art space to support the college’s innovative degree and certificate programs in broadcasting, multimedia, production and design. Key elements include: a t.v. studio, music production room, radio station, sound control room, editing booths, “green” room/conference space and media classroom. The college’s critical goals of promoting visual transparency and student collaboration are expressed through the strategic use of glazing and moments in the architectural design that foster student connections.
