Amenta Emma team members participated in the first IIDA of New England Hartford City Center Sustainable Quilt Event. The theme selected for this year was Books. Our team of amazing quilters chose to honor famous author and Hartford resident Mark Twain, and worked fastidiously over the last few months to create the queen size ‘Portrait of Mark Twain’. All quilts were created with fabrics donated by industry fabric partners, and the proceeds from the event, held during the annual IIDA New England Summer Clambake, will benefit YOUmedia Hartford, a next generation digital learning and maker space for teens ages 13-19 based in Hartford.
