Debra Seay is a project manager in Amenta Emma’s Workplace Studio where she contributes a passion for health and wellness to every project.
When she joined the firm in 2016, Debra brought with her more than 14 years of experience on large-scale, complex projects and an exceptional level of organization, innovation, and leadership. A year into her tenure she earned a WELL accreditation and has since applied thoughtful and creative design approaches that use biophilia, natural light and natural materials to enhance the user experience.
“It is often said WELL is a nutrition label for your space,” Debra says. “If we want employees to want to be in the office, we need to make sure we are providing the appropriate ‘ingredients’ to make it a healthy and safe environment.”
Debra earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Philadelphia University. In 2022, she was recognized as one of Hartford Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business. In the community, Debra serves on the boards of CoreNet CT/Westchester Chapter and the Connecticut Women’s Council, and she volunteers in various professional organizations as a mentor to young women and minorities pursuing architecture.
