Amenta Emma JEDI+B Team members, Joy Ortiz-Colón (current committee Chair) and Cameron Gill (2022-2024 Chair), participated in a panel discussion, which highlighted the 2025 AIA Connecticut JEDI Award-winning firms. Moderated by Amenta Emma Senior Associate, Jeremy Jamilkowski, AIA, the program offered attendees a unique opportunity to learn from organizations recognized for their exceptional commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Panelists shared their motivations, strategies, and outcomes behind award-winning initiatives, while also providing insight into the AIA Connecticut J.E.D.I Challenge – the program from which these award-winning efforts originated. Participants gained an understanding of how the AIA CT JEDI Challenge supports firms in advancing EDI, and learned practical ideas for sustaining programs, engaging employees, and fostering meaningful community impact within their own practices.
