AIA Connecticut recently announced the winners of the 2021 Sustainable Architecture Awards. The renovation of the State Office Building at 165 Capitol Avenue in Hartford received the Merit Award in the “Renovations, Adaptive Re-Use or Retro-Fit” category. The Jury commented: “This project is a beautiful example of the value of preserving an older building while incorporating high performance, sustainability features, and creating beautiful spaces with improved occupant/visitor experience.”
